The Executive Director is responsible for day-to-day management of The FoodBasket, Inc. (TFB) and directs, administers and coordinates the business, administrative and financial activities of TFB in accordance with its stated mission and the policies and goals established by the Board of Directors. Must be able to work as part of a leadership team along with any staff and volunteers, and maintain cordial interpersonal relations with clients, volunteers and staff. The Executive Director reports to and receives information from the Board of Directors through the President of the Board and at Board meetings.
· Assists in the development, implementation and review of all policies and programs; translates goals set by the Board of Directors into successful operational plans.
· Supervises the staff to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of TFB.
· Works cooperatively to create a direct service, client centered AIDS Service Organization (ASO) environment where each client is accepted and personal growth toward a healthy nutritional and psychosocial status is fostered.
· Oversees development and implementation of annual budgets, tracking and staying on budget and developing and implementing financial policy recommendations.
· Oversees fundraising operations and works to develop sources of funding.
· Partners with any professional staff and community volunteers to enhance the nutritional and psychosocial status of TFB clients.
· Demonstrates the following competencies: leadership, motivational skills, communication, mentoring, financial management, and resource development and management.
· Crucial interpersonal skills include: a demonstrated commitment to excellence, professionalism, accountability, collaboration, innovation, respect, trust, confidentiality, knowledge of HIV/AIDS, and a commitment to the clients, the organization and the associated community.

· Must possess demonstrated leadership and management skills with appropriate and relevant successful experience preferred.
· Must possess high ethical standards and an appropriate professional demeanor.
· Must be energetic, forward-thinking and creative in ways consistent with TFB’s bylaws, mission and culture.
· Must have strong analytical ability and good judgment.
· Must have strong skills in problem analysis and resolution at strategic and functional levels.
· Must be well-organized, self-directed and able to write grant applications.
· Must be able to maintain and demonstrate confidentiality.
· Must possess superior interpersonal skills; positive attitude, tact, respect, patience and cooperation; must be able to communicate and work with diversified clients, volunteers, staff, and outside resources.
Basic Qualifications:
· · Knowledge of MS Office applications: MSWord, Excel
· · Demonstrated ability to create, review and analyze simple financial reports
· · Successful prior administrative and supervisory experience helpful
· · Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and, to a reasonable extent, ASOs in Hawai'i
